Get Involved with RUSA STARS!

The majority of the committee and task force appointments are made in the spring by matching STARS members' interests and background with the section's needs. If you are interested in contributing your ideas and talent to a STARS committee, please contact Jennifer Young, ely@etsu.edu.

Keep the conversation going on Connect

The Connect discussion board is dedicated to issues relating to interlibrary loan, document delivery, remote circulation, access services, cooperative reference, cooperative collection development, remote storage, and other shared library services by members of RUSA-STARS. This discussion board is only open to RUSA-STARS members.

STARS' NEWS

The new document has been approved by RUSA and the STARS Executive Committee and is now available online.

This guideline defines the professional competencies important for resource sharing practitioners and can be used in staff training, preparation/review of position descriptions, preparing job applications, and/or conducting performance evaluations/goal setting.

The RUSA STARS Codes, Guidelines, and Technical Standards Committee wishes to thank everyone in the interlibrary loan community who provided feedback during the public comment period in Fall 2023.

Librarians love to help people (and that includes other librarians), so joining STARS is a great way to learn more resource sharing in a helpful, collaborative environment.
