CHICAGO – Registration is now open for the 2023 American Association of School Librarians (AASL) National Conference. The conference, taking place Oct. 19-21, 2023, in Tampa, Florida, convenes school library professionals for in-person learning and networking opportunities. Registration rates and date-sensitive, money-saving promo codes can be found at .

“Every AASL National Conference offers attendees myriad ways to enhance their knowledge of school library standards, be inspired by keynote speakers and authors, and learn innovative practices from colleagues” says conference co-chair, Paige Battle. “I always leave each national conference with a suitcase full of books, lesson plans, and the nuts and bolts for library programming that makes a difference for all students.”

A one-of-a-kind conference, the 2023 AASL National Conference will feature daily keynotes, more than 140 concurrent sessions, author panels, research into practice sessions, poster presentations, more than 150 exhibitors, the best practice IdeaLab, author signings, and endless networking opportunities. Content provided at the conference will be rooted in AASL's "National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries."

This conference comes at a crucial time in our profession when the support of colleagues in advocacy and allyship is vital. “Now more than ever, we need to come together as a profession to network, learn, advocate, and grow because we are all better together” says conference co-chair, Amanda Jones. “The AASL National Conference is an opportunity for school librarians from across the country to reconnect, make new friends, and share ways to navigate the current landscape of school librarianship and celebrate the best job on the planet. This is our moment in history and the time to show our support for one another.”

The AASL National Conference is the only national conference dedicated solely to the needs of school librarians and their roles as educational leaders. A full conference registration provides school librarian attendees the opportunity to invite their administrator to attend the conference at no extra cost. In addition, each attendee will receive complimentary meal vouchers for Friday and Saturday lunches and coffee each morning. Those communicating about the national conference are encouraged to use the official hashtag, #AASL23.

The American Association of School Librarians, , a division of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app (), empowers leaders to transform teaching and learning.
