CHICAGO—The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app () has awarded the 2022 Core/OCLC Spectrum Scholarship in Library and Information Technology to Fiona Rae Brown. Brown is currently in the process of receiving a degree in Library and Information Science with a certificate in archives from the Pratt Institute. As a librarian and archivist, she is interested in Black and Indigenous history, as well as music and film. Brown’s research includes libraries and archives relationship to colonialism and crisis, the archives of marginalized people, and digital preservation.

"I’m honored to receive this opportunity to be a Spectrum Scholar and grateful to for supporting my education,” Brown states. “I look forward to building community with other librarians who are committed to making the field more just."

The Spectrum program funds scholarships through its endowment and the contributions of individuals and organizations whose donations support named scholarships in the Spectrum Family of Funds. Since 1997, has awarded more than 1,300 Spectrum Scholarships. In conjunction with sponsor OCLC, ’s Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures awards its 2022 Spectrum Scholarship to a student with a demonstrated interest in library technology.
