CHICAGO—Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures is pleased to announce that Alexander Dodd has been named as a Core Emerging Leader (EL). Currently working as the Continuing Resources Librarian at the University Libraries at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, Dodd's areas of focus in libraries include open access and scholarly publishing.

"I'm very honored to have been chosen for the class of 2023, says Dodd. "I'm so excited to start working with all the other members of this year's cohort on some interesting and important topics facing the library world."

One of 49 library workers chosen from across the U.S. and Canada, Dodd will participate in project planning work groups, network with peers, gain an inside look into the structure, and have an opportunity to serve the profession in a leadership capacity. Following a virtual, day-long kickoff session during the LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LibLearnX), the program will continue in an online learning and networking environment for six months, culminating in a presentation of the groups' work at the 2023 Annual Conference in Chicago, IL. this June. Core is sponsoring three Emerging Leaders for 2023. Learn more about the Emerging Leaders Program.
