CHICAGO — The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app, has officially announced the 2022 Teens’ Top Ten Nominees. This year’s list of nominees features 25 titles that were published between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021.

The nominees are as follows:

Teens are encouraged to read the nominees throughout the summer to prepare for the national Teens’ Top Ten vote, which will take place Aug. 15 - Oct. 12th. The ten nominees that receive the most votes will be named the official 2022 Teens’ Top Ten. As the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on in-person library experiences, this is a great opportunity to better utilize digital resources. The Teens’ Top Ten is a “teen choice” list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year. Nominators are members of teen book groups from sixteen school and public libraries around the country selected by YALSA to participate. In addition, YALSA wants to hear as many teen voices as possible, so teens across the country can fill out the public nomination form to have a book considered.

A digital image of a Teens’ Top Ten seal for nominated titles is available to publishers for licensing. Arrangements can be made through ’s Rights and Permissions office for publishers who need permission to reproduce the seal on a paperback edition of book jacket.
