CHICAGO—The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) has awarded six registration grants to allow library support staff and library school students to participate in the ALCTS 2018 Midwinter Symposium. The grant award winners are:

• Katherine Brown, Student, University of Denver
• Ricardo Dominguez, Library Supervisor, University of Southern California
• Trang Le, Special Research Collections (SRC) Cataloger and Content Management Services (CMS) Assistant, University of California, Santa Barbara
• Michelle Lee, Library Assistant III (Interlibrary Loan), Georgia State University
• Mary Leverance, Preservation and Conservation Coordinator, University of Arkansas
• Aldo Vasquez, Student, University of Illinois

“The generous donations made by ALCTS members and friends during our 60th Anniversary year made these registration grants possible,” said Mary Beth Thomson, president of ALCTS. “We are excited to be able to include additional voices at the symposium from people who otherwise may not have been able to attend.”

The day-long symposium will be held Feb. 9, 2018 during the Midwinter Meeting in Denver, CO. “” will explore how libraries and cultural institutions provide access to materials, and ensure that those materials are accessible to all populations.

ALCTS is a division of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app. An international member-driven association, ALCTS engages the library community on issues and policies that affect the acquisition, management, discovery and preservation of library collections.
