BRYN MAWR, Pennsylvania – United for Libraries and Conference Services will present “Spotlight on Adult Literature” from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Georgia World Congress Center Exhibit Hall at the 2016 Midwinter Meeting in Atlanta.

Participating publishers will host book and galley giveaways, author signings and more.

Simon & Schuster (booth 1726) will present author Thomas Mullen (“Darktown”), who will be signing from 2-3 p.m. There will be an ARC giveaway of “The Simplicity of Cider” by Amy Reichert, with apples and cider being served from 3-4 p.m.

Hachette Book Group (booth 1804) will feature a galley from Lee Boudreaux Books – Little, Brown & Co’s “Spoils” by Brian Van Reet, along with “The Ship” by Antonia Honeywell. These will be rounded out by galleys of “Dare to be Kind” by Lizzie Velasquez.

Macmillan Adult (booth 1818) will feature advance copy giveaways, including Victor Lodato’s ​“Edgar & Lucy,” Julie Buntin’s “Marlena,” ​Sally Hepworth’s “The Mother’s Promise,” Chevy Stevens’s “Never Let You Go,” ​Gregg Hurwitz’s “The Nowhere Man,” and ​Laurie Frankel’s ​“This is How it Always Is.”

Penguin Random House (booth 1903) will feature appearances at signing tables by Omar El Akkad (“American War,” Knopf) from 2:30-3 p.m., Fiona Barton (“The Child,” Berkeley) from 2:30-3 p.m., and Karen Dionne (“The Marsh King’s Daughter,” Putnam) from 3-3:30 p.m.

At Books on Tape (booth 1904), those who sign up for the BOT newsletter will receive a free audiobook. Plus, all will be entered to win a collection of bestselling audiobooks for their library.

At Perseus (booth 1938), Mark Pendergrast will sign copies of “City on the Verge: Atlanta and the Fight for America’s Urban Future” from 2-4 p.m., and Benjamin Reiss will sign copies of “Wild Nights” from 3-4 p.m. Copies of “The Revenge of Analog” will be given away, and a raffle will be held for a turntable.

At Harlequin (booth 2012), pick up an ARC of Benjamin Ludwig’s novel The Original Ginny Moon, along with Ginny Moon swag and a promotional box from the new literary imprint Park Row Books, and meet the author from 2-3 p.m.



W. W. Norton & Company (booth 2030) will host ARC giveaways of “Huck Out West” by Robert Coover, “A Colony in a Nation” by Chris Hayes, “The Underworld” by Kevin Canty, “Wedding Toasts I’ll Never Give” by Ada Calhoun, “Fateful Mornings” by Tom Bouman, and “Lonesome Lies Before Us” by Don Lee.

Workman (booth 2037) will be giving away tote bags and spring 2017 ARCs, including “The Leavers” by Lisa Ko.
