CHICAGO – Library professionals from across America and the world will gather in Atlanta, Georgia for discussions on the future of library service, technology trends, advocacy, information policy, professional and leadership development, intellectual freedom and diversity, equity and inclusion. These discussions are part of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app’s () Midwinter Meeting & Exhibits, held from Jan. 20 – 24, 2017 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Over the last months, members have expressed their concerns regarding the effects of the recent election on the positions and advocacy efforts of the Association. In order to continue this dialog, the Executive Board invites Council and the membership to join a Town Hall style conversation on Sunday, January 22 from 9:30-11:00am in the GWCC Thomas Murphy Ballroom 3-4, immediately following the Council meeting I agenda. Although this session follows the first meeting of ’s governing council, all interested conference attendees are welcome to join this professionally facilitated session to share your feedback, concerns, ideas and aspirations for .
