PHILADELPHIA – United for Libraries will host “Nuts & Bolts for Trustees, Friends and Foundations” from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 at McCormick Place West, W185bc during the Midwinter Meeting in Chicago.

The popular Nuts & Bolts program will feature speakers addressing topics of interest to Trustees, Friends, Foundations and advocates (download the PDF, 105 kb). Those planning to attend the Nuts & Bolts program at the Midwinter Meeting should RSVP to united@ala.org. Speakers include:

• Donor Relationships: Stewardship & Communication: Catherine Brown, chief operating officer and Veronica Brown, director of individual giving and communications, Chicago Public Library Foundation.

• Grassroots Advocacy - Working with your State Elected Officials: Kip Kolkmeier, Illinois Library Association legislative consultant.

Roundtable discussions will be held on fundraising, marketing, social media, book sales, the role of Trustees and more.
