American Libraries recognizes 12 libraries in its 2024 Library Design Showcase

CHICAGO - Twelve new and renovated libraries, as well as their architects, have been recognized in American Libraries’ 2024 Library Design Showcase. The showcase appears in the magazine’s September/October issue, .

The 36th annual showcase highlights innovative constructions and remodels across the US and Canada that address patrons’ evolving needs. All projects in this year’s selection were completed between May 1, 2023, and April 30, 2024. The buildings—comprising public and academic libraries and one operations center—demonstrate how libraries are adapting their spaces to better support people, programming, and sustainability efforts.

This year’s featured projects are:
