This compilation consists mainly of color maps—one for each year—showing the
paths of cyclones reaching at least tropical storm strength from 1851 to 2006. Additional maps plot the course of the storms by the month or ten-day period in which they began. There is also frequency data and a chronological list of U.S. hurricane landfalls. Previous editions lack the track maps for 1851 to 1870; the authors have revised the data for 1871 to 1920.
