Creating digital publishing, preservation and archiving solutions for scholarly content, Victoria Reich has led the crusade for enduring efforts to preserve digital collections for future generations. Delivering more than 60 presentations since 2000, she regularly takes her message of cooperation and preservation to students and scholars of serials librarianship. As the Director and co-founder of the LOCKSS Program, Victoria has established collaborative efforts between librarians
and publishers to ensure digital scholarly assets remain available for future readers.

The award is given for distinguished contributions to serials librarianship, including but not limited to those made within the previous three years, demonstrated by such activities as leadership in serials-related activities through participation in professional associations and/or library education programs, contributions to the body of serials literature, conduct of research in the area of serials, development of tools or methods to enhance access to or management of serials, other advances leading to a better understanding of the field of serials.
