Through her accomplishments in her position at Ball State University Libraries, her publications, and her service to professional organizations, Kelley McGrath has demonstrated initiative, leadership, and

outstanding promise for continuing contributions to technical services librarianship. Among Ms. McGrath’s notable achievements are her leadership in the Cataloging and Policy Committee of OLAC (Online

Audiovisual Catalogers) and her innovative work on Media Finders and Playaways. Her approaches to handling new formats of library resources have improved catalog access to media and also benefitted media catalogers. Ms McGrath has established a record of achievement and success in her position, in her

scholarship, and in her service to librarianship. We look forward to her leadership and contributions

in the future.

The Esther J. Piercy Award was established by the Resources and Technical Services Division of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app in 1968 in memory of Esther J. Piercy, editor of Journal of Cataloging and Classification from 1950 to 1956 and of Library Resources & Technical Services from 1957 to 1967.
