Hannah Buckland is the recipient of the 2017 MANGO Languages / NMRT Professional Development Grant. Hannah is the Director of Library Services at Leech Lake Tribal College in Cass Lake, Minnesota. She earned her MLIS in 2012 from the University of Pittsburgh, and her BA from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois in 2011. The committee was impressed with Hannah’s work and professional contributions as a librarian. Hannah is committed to supporting her community in Minnesota by seeking support for basic services like public broadband and computer access. To this end, Hannah’s work as a member of the Northern Lights Library Network Governing Board and her appointed role on the Minnesota Governor’s Broadband Task Force contribute significantly to her goals. She also very active within professional library associations, such as new Members Round Table where she currently serves as the Assistant Chair for NMRT’s Resume Review Service.
