Nancy Gibbs' contributions to the acquisitions profession are reflected in the leadership role she has played in academic acquisitions librarianship and in her long service record to and other professional associations.
Nancy has been a proactive voice for acquisitions concerns related to evaluating "big deal" contracts for electronic journals, building publisher/vendor relationships, and introducing e-books into the academic
library environment. Nancy's appointment and election to key positions in ALCTS Acquisitions and Serials Sections demonstrate the genuine respect her colleagues have for her leadership and service abilities.
