Recent scholarship has documented growing interests in identifying correlations or associations between the use of library services and resources and improved student GPA and retention. However, such studies have not specifically focused on the first‐generation, Pell eligible, and underserved student population. This correlational study will target at this student population at California State University, Los Angeles. Specifically, the study will assess whether the use of library online resources, participation in information literacy sessions, and material borrowing contribute to reduced withdrawal rate, improved GPA, and increased retention among these students.
