Vietnam War

Adopted at 1970 Annual Conference

WHEREAS we are opposed to the Vietnam War and in particular the expansion of the war into Cambodia; and

WHEREAS we support the Cooper-Church amendment and other amendments designed to cut off funds for the war; and

WHEREAS we are opposed to the President's arbitrary use of his power as Commander in Chief to expand this war;

THEREFORE we, the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app Social Responsibilities Round Table, urge the United States Congress to assert its rightful authority to restrict the Presidential power to intervene militarily in other countries without the consent of the United States Congress except in response to direct attack on the United States.
