Describe yourself in three words

Strategic, focused, fun.

What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

I'm reading a lot about AI at the moment, and from many sources, including the Harvard Business Review, New Scientist, and HR Magazine. I'm also reading about sustainable development. My musical taste is all over the map. My current playlist includes Spandau Ballet, the Carpenters, Whitney Houston, Lou Rawls, Petula Clark, Shaggy, and Michael Jackson, to name a few.

Describe ACRL in three words:

Innovative, relevant, resource-rich (OK, you can't describe an academically oriented organization without at least one hyphenated word or phrase).

What do you value about ACRL?

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

There are many things that ACRL does well. However, if I select one thing I highly value, it would be the professional development opportunities. This comes in many forms, from publications to webinars to conferences. We get an opportunity to learn from each other in these spaces.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

I'll speak about the library (or, in the case of the University of Delaware, the Library, Museums and Press) in general. Not only do we provide access to scholarly resources (what most people expect), but we also contribute to the success of our campus community through partnering in the research enterprise, helping students develop information fluency, and actively promoting a climate of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

In your own words

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

Academic libraries add so much value to the mission of the institutions we are a part of. It's great to have ACRL to help us learn, grow, and advocate for the continued success of our libraries and the communities we serve.
