I value the opportunities to learn and grow from my peers. My peers have inspired me to try out ideas and reflect on how to best serve my students. Additionally, I appreciate the opportunities to shape and grow the future of ACRL. As a community college librarian, I work to push forward the narratives and give space to the voices of community college librarians, which are often underrepresented.

As the Career Education Librarian, I work on projects that center on the inclusion of Career Education into the Library. I work as liaison librarian for most of the Career Education departmentsand coordinate the Library's Perkins grants. Currently, my foremost goal is to incorporate library instruction into liaison areas that traditionally have not used the Library. To measure Library usage, I am a co-lead of our Library's Analytics workgroup. I also am a member of the Library Initiative for Equitable and Affordable Learning, which provides professional development to faculty on how to incorporate no or low-cost materials into the curriculum. Also as someone who loves technology, I do not hesitate to volunteer for any opportunity to learn and apply technology that best supports the college community.

I value the opportunity to help change the future. Our student population is mostly composed of traditionally underserved students, and I love helping to kickstart their research journeys, whether it be academic, career, or personal. I see students' skills develop exponentially when they become more aware of their pre-existing skills and how to apply them to their desired paths. Furthermore, as a Latine librarian, I work to provide opportunities to mentor underrepresented people into librarianship. Our library personnel should be reflective of our communities, and we still have a long way to go.
