Describe ACRL in three words:

Essential support system.

What do you value about ACRL?

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

I really value the ability to connect with colleagues from other institutions. I think now, more than ever, it is so beneficial to have a network of colleagues to ask questions, lean on for support, and exchange ideas. I'm able to do that through the programs and groups in ACRL.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

I hope that I am providing a friendly service to my students and faculty. Most of my departments did not operate in a fully online environment before the start of the pandemic, so I have been helping them navigate the vast amount of online resources that we have available. It can be incredibly confusing and overwhelming, particularly when trying to figure out electronic licensing, but I hope I am contributing to the success of courses and a student's education.

In your own words

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

I have been working as an academic librarian for a year and a half now; it has really been a whirlwind of new information, faces, and experiences. I truly appreciate the daily challenges this job brings me. No day is the same, which helps to keep me on my toes and makes the job exciting. Working with students is by far the most rewarding part of my job, but I also enjoy the community of librarians both at UD and elsewhere.
